Sweetheart Sugar Cookies are easy to make and prepare for your loved ones at the time of Christmas. The cookies can be served in the mornings with coffee or shared with friends showing affection and love in shape of heart shape delicacy.

First step is to preheat the oven at 350°. Now add butter, vanilla and granulate sugar with electric mix and add eggs. Beat all things thoroughly

Now add salt, flour and frequently adding butter (softened) and beat it thoroughly

Next divide into 2 equal portions of the dough and flat each part into disk. Chill it for 10 minutes by covering it

Now place one disk shaped dough on a heavy surface of flour and roll into thickness of about 1/8 inch. Then cut into heart cup with 3inch cutter. Place two inches separately on baking sheets with little grease and repeat it with remaining dough

Now bake at for 10 minutes at 350 degrees till it edges become brown. Let it cool for five minutes and for another thirty minutes after transferring into wire tracks

Now add the meringue powder and two tablespoon of water. Next brush cookies with mixture and sprinkle with sanding sugar.
