Barbecue Chicken Pizza is my favorite pizza flavor and I often make it at home. When I started making, First of all I made BBQ pizza. The toppings of this pizza are outstanding with a perfect mixture of meat and vegetables. Nowadays, students prefer to eat pizza in their lunch time when they are far from home.

Steps

1
Done

Dough Preparation

In a mixing bowl, combine the yeast and warm water, mix it properly and leave for 5 minutes until yeast becomes foamy and dissolved. If the yeast does not dissolve it means it is dead. Try to use active yeast and repeat the same process which is known as “proofing” the yeast.

2
Done

Add Flour, Salt, Honey or Sugar and Olive Oil in it and mix by hand for 1 minute

3
Done

Once all the ingredients mixed properly, knead for 7 minutes. If the dough is too wet, add ¼ cup more flour for making it smooth. Poke the dough with finger, if it bounces back it means dough is ready to use. If not, keep kneading

4
Done

Make a ball shape of the dough and brush all sides of the bowl with Olive Oil and keep the dough ball in that bowl. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and rise in a warm environment of 75-80F.

5
Done

For creating a warm environment, heat the oven to 200 F. Turn off the oven after some time and open the door slightly for achieving the required temperature. Place the dough bowl for rising.

6
Done

Dough will get double in size after 1-2 hours. Punch the dough to release air inside it

7
Done

Again cover the dough for about 15 minutes and then use in pizza preparation.

8
Done

Pizza Filling

Mix 2 tbsp of BBQ Sauce in cooked Chopped Chicken and keeps it aside

9
Done

After waiting for 15 minutes as discussed above, top the dough with BBQ Sauce according to taste. Then spread Shredded Mozzarella, BBQ Coated Chicken, Shredded Gouda and then the Onion slices at top of the crust

10
Done

Bake for about 14-16 minutes and move the baking dish on the top rack for golden brown edges. That’s optional

11
Done

Make the extra topping with fresh Cilantro

12
Done

Make slices of the pizza and serve immediately with tomato sauce

13
Done

Leftover pizza can be refrigerate up to 1 month in a plastic wrapping which can be used later.
