In a mixing bowl, combine the yeast and warm water, mix it properly and leave for 5 minutes until yeast becomes foamy and dissolved. If the yeast does not dissolve it means it is dead. Try to use active yeast and repeat the same process which is known as “proofing” the yeast.

Add Flour, Salt, Honey or Sugar and Olive Oil in it and mix by hand for 1 minute

Once all the ingredients mixed properly, knead for 7 minutes. If the dough is too wet, add ¼ cup more flour for making it smooth. Poke the dough with finger, if it bounces back it means dough is ready to use. If not, keep kneading

Make a ball shape of the dough and brush all sides of the bowl with Olive Oil and keep the dough ball in that bowl. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and rise in a warm environment of 75-80F

For creating a warm environment, heat the oven to 200 F. Turn off the oven after some time and open the door slightly for achieving the required temperature. Place the dough bowl for rising.

Dough will get double in size after 1-2 hours. Punch the dough to release air inside it. Again cover the dough for about 15 minutes and then use in pizza preparation.
