Lancashire Hotpot is a traditional dish that originated in the era of industrialization in UK and was famously made in North West of England in Lancashire .The dish is made from mutton or lamb with sliced potatoes and onions and is put in oven in a pot to be baked on slow heat for a whole day.

Heat the oven at 170°C to 190°C in large frying pan. Take the cubed lamb leg steaks & put them in seasoned flour and mix it. Next Fry it until it gets brown

Put sliced carrots & onion in the pan and cook for at least five minutes. Now put the lamb with the hot chicken stock, fresh thyme and add Worcestershire sauce. Stir it gently and keep it aside

Cut sliced potatoes and put it over the mixture already made composed of meat mixture and then add a layer remaining with some potatoes and put some butter over it.Now cover and cook it in the oven for half an hour. Remove the cover and cook for additional twenty minutes until the potatoes get light brown and crispy.
