1/2 cup Confectioners' Sugar
1 tbsp Powdered Milk
1/4 cup White Sugar
1 tsp (ground) Cinnamon
1 tbsp Active Dry Yeast
3/4 cup Dried Currants
3/4 cup Warm Water
2 tbsp Water
2 tsp Milk
3/8 tsp Salt
1/4 tsp Vanilla Extract
1 Egg
1 Egg Whites
1 Egg Yolk

There is no longer need to refrigerate buns. Make fluffy and soft Hot Cross Buns at home by trying out our recipe. It really works!

Put 3/4 cup warm water (110 degrees F/45 degrees C), 1 tsp instant powdered milk, 3 tbsp Butter, 1/4 cup white sugar, 1 Egg, Salt, Flour, 1 Egg White and 1 tbsp active dry yeast in bread Maker. Process it to form dough

When 5 minutes are left, add 1 tsp ground cinnamon and 3/4 cup dried currants. Leave in machine till doubled

Transfer this dough on 3 cups all-purpose flour surface. Cover it and leave for 10 minutes

Make ball shaped buns from this dough and place in a greased pan of 9×12 inch

Cover and rinse in warm place till double for about 35-40 minutes

Mix 1 Egg yolk and 2 tbsp. Water. Brush on Balls

Bake at 375 degrees F for 20 minutes. Remove from pan and let it cool for some time

To make crosses: Mix Vanilla, Confectioners’ Sugar and milk. Brush an X on cooled Buns
