Steps

1
Done

Season the fish fillet generously with salt and pepper.

2
Done

Carefully pick up the fish fillet and dip it into all-purpose flour what’ve seasoned gently with salt and pepper.

3
Done

Beat the egg and coat the fish fillet in it homogeneously.

4
Done

Finally, dip the fish into bread crumbs, to get a thick layer of them. Again dip the fish fillet in the egg and back in the bread crumbs. Two coats should be enough.

5
Done

Heat the oil in the frying pan. Put the fish fillets in the pan and cook it by rotating the sides of the fillet.

6
Done

Lift a fillet with a fish spatula and see how it's coming along. Deep golden brown the fillets and take it out from the pan.

7
Done

Preheat the oven (around 300°F) and transfer the whole skillet to the oven’s center rack. Doesn't overcook the fish as overcooked can come out dry and tough?

8
Done

Lift the fish fillet with fish spatula and the blot on the paper towel to get rid of any excess fat on the bottom. Serve with some lemon wedges and tartar sauce.
