Indian desserts are daunting and difficult, but they have a virtuous taste. Whenever, I go out for buying sweet, I often choose Coconut Barfi as my father likes the most.

Add the 4 cup milk, sugar and 3 Cups fresh shredded coconut in a wide pan and cook it over medium heat

Don’t over boil the milk for so long. Keep stirring the milk. After 15 minutes, bubbles will be formed. Boil it for some more time

Add in the 4 tbsp ghee after 30 minutes and melt it

After 45 minutes, the mixture will become dry and gooey at this stage

After one hour, the mixture would be completely dried and there will be no liquid anymore. At this point switch off the flame

Grease the pan and transfer the coconut burfi mixture on it. Spread evenly with the help of the wooden spatula

Allow it to cool for one hour

Make small cubes of this mixture and transfer to serving plate

Your burfi is ready to eat. Sprinkle Shredded Pistachio for garnish as a topping
